Today is a good day! Beautiful weather, Masters on TV, all around solid Sunday.
Wrenched on the Civics rusted brake system today. The bolts were too stuck to use my normal ratchets so I went and got one of those fixed head ones that doesn’t switch. That did the trick.
The kids at the hardware store liked the Miata. They had me chirp ‘em on the way out. Two of them were RX7 owners! Got some bolts for the Miata too.
Also! I put in a Mishimoto High Performance rad for the Miata last year and it won’t stop leaking coolant now. Anyone know why?
Anyone else have a good Sunday?

Sold a motorcycle I’ve been trying to get rid of for a couple years, so I guess that’s a win.

I’ve done nothing all day when I should have been working on stuff for my two papers due Thursday. It’s going to be a rough week.

I vacuumed all the crumbs out of the minivan in preparation for Passover. That was a freaking nightmare. There was enough in there to keep a small impoverished country going for a week.
Then I washed and waxed the S2000. I’ve never use paste wax before, so I’m not sure if I got it right, but it looks good.
I’m jealous of the van now, because I polished the van headlights a few weeks ago, and haven’t gotten to the S2000's yet. They haz cataracts.

Much better than yesterday, though I eventually need to get up and do my taxes.

Slept for 12 hours after flying back from Japan yesturday. Once we got up we cuddled under blankets and watched last week’s F1 race. Wife picked up Moe’s for dinner and now we are getting ready for the week. I have an interview tomorrow that could lead to a promotion so I prepped a bit for that.

(similar design)
Swapped the Auxiliary Air Valve on the 914 and now it runs great. I kept having a hell of a time starting and running rough. sometimes flooding the engine when starting, and couldn’t figure out what was wrong. If it was stuck open, it is supposed to run rough and if stuck closed be unable to start. I was able to blow through it. I ended up swapping with a spare AAV and it runs great. sprayed pb blaster and a bunch of gunk came out. wondering if it was stuck 1/2 way open. Hence why it started hard and flooded and ran lean and sputtered.

I love S2000's! It's like a combo of my favorite cars! A Honda Miata!

Not really, it just leaks when it feels like it. I can't figure out why though

That’s some solid wrenching. I always really liked 914's! I don't know a whole lot about them but they're fun to see at cars and coffee and stuff. They sound great too!
